At one time or another you have probably dreamed of building a log home. What makes a log home so special? Why would I choose a log home over more conventional means? Unless you have spent time in a log home, it is difficult to get a full picture of what it is like to live in one. Below you will find exerts from letters from our customers as well as quotes from some newspapers. We hope you enjoy!

"We met Andrew and Gina Green at a Log Home Show. In a building full of contractors and vendors, they stood out as honest and sincere. We looked at floor plans and models before choosing the Highland. The building process was without frustration and well thought out. The craftsmanship was impeccable, everybody that worked on our house cared and did their best. The service was exceptional; we never questioned Andrew's competence or integrity. Our level of trust continues to grow. I would highly recommend Green's Custom Log Homes and Barna Log Homes."

"I just wanted to thank Barna Log Homes for making our log home building process so wonderful! From the very first contact with Andrew and Gina Green, who opened their beautiful Barna home to us, to the Log Home building training course weekend, to the actual building, to the follow up once our home was built. Every person that worked on our home was above standard. The attention to detail and true craftsmanship of our home is beyond what you can imagine. If I were to build another log home or recommend one, it would definitely be a Barna Log Home. Nothing is more beautiful!"

Thank you!
Kathy - log home owner

"I've already told my friends that building this home is the most satisfying experience I have ever had. The beauty of the design and the quality of workmanship are outstanding plus the builders experience and cooperation made this home a dream come true. Thank you Barna Homes for making my wish a reality."

Sincerely,
James - log home owner

"Our design was from another company, but Barna drew blue prints from a picture and delivered our building package. The crew worked well together with the utmost care to fine workmanship. In just a few weeks we will be ready for our final inspection. Already we enjoy the comfort and coziness of our Barna Log Home."

"We were looking for an affordable cabin that would leave a small imprint on the land. We found it with the Bearhat Mountain model in the Adventure Series. What a beautiful and functional cabin! Andrew worked extremely hard with his crew to ensure us of a quality built cabin in a remote area of Montana. We had no problems throughout the entire building process and found Andrew to be more than helpful with any of our questions. We're extremely happy with Andrew and Barna Log Homes and highly recommend both."

"I would like to pass along our thanks to Barna log homes for our cabin. We would also like to pass along some accolades to Gary and Diana fuller of Avoca, MI. This couple went way out of their way in helping us through our build. They put up with emotions, temper tantrums and a very bad attitude (from me) and they did it with a
smile. They are a great asset to Barna. Gary has the best people and companies working with him to get our work done and each person that worked with us was just great. I know these two care for the people who buy from Barna, and they show it in their dedication to helping us out. Please pass this along to the proper person in the company, Gary and Diana Fuller are just the greatest.
"

"We just love the atmosphere," Dale T. said of the [Barna log] home, which will include an attached gazebo-style room and a wraparound porch. "If you've ever gone into one when the fire is going on a winter evening, they are just so comfortable." Log homes, which conjure up romantic notions of America's past and relaxation at "up north" cabins or lodges, still haven't gained overwhelming popularity in metro Detroit. But more of the homes dot the local landscape every year.

-The Oakland Press

"At first we had our doubts! A log home might cramp our style, our friends thought we went off the deep end with all the work that they thought came with a log construction. Now they gaze in awe over the final product . . . We have had so many of our friends and family stay with us over the past 2 years, it would seem as if we had opened a lodge. However, what a treat it has been for us to be able to share the abeyance that this log home has to offer. All seem to say the same thing; your home has warmth like no other that we have ever been in or seen."

If you want a more traditional look, consider the full round log (6 ½-, 8-, or 9-inch) system. It offers the beauty of the round look inside, as well as outside.
"I preferred that, " said Bob K., who built a $300,000 log home in Richmond.
Bob and Tamara's dream home, best described as "mountain contemporary," was purchased through Jim Barna Log Homes, a family-owned business since 1986.

-The Macomb Daily

"The front porch gets everybody. They come here, and they want to sit on the front porch."
